Important Information About Scheduling
Scheduling an appointment, submitting a contact form, using this website, or participating in an initial consultation (whether by phone, video, or in person) does not establish a formal therapeutic relationship.
The therapeutic relationship begins only after we have both reviewed and signed the confidentiality agreement and informed consent documents. These paperwork steps ensure you have a complete understanding of my policies, the limits of confidentiality, the potential benefits and risks of therapy, your rights as a client, and other important details. They also give us an opportunity to determine whether we are a good fit to work together.
During the initial consultation or first session, we will go over these documents together, answer and questions you may have, and decide mutually whether to proceed. You are always free to choose not to move forward after receiving this information – no commitment is required until the paperwork is signed and we both agree to begin
If you have any questions before scheduling, please feel free to reach out. I'm happy to provide more details.
